Kyle sighed, a thick plume escaped his mouth. The room was cold, behind him was a glass wall looking out over sleeping city. To the left, and to the right were walls with piercing stares only broken up by the alternate placing of sadistic certificates and awards. Street lights outside flickered in time with the desk lamp like a mocking dance of victory. The room was bleak and dull like a black and white film noire. The grey metal desk stood still to attention awaiting its master to return bearing nothing but its own weight.
